The Summer Basketball Academy is scheduled for the summer of 2026! Students in grades 6-12 will have a positive learning experience training with coaches to enhance their basketball skills and athleticism, while also receiving academic support.
On Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s from 10am - 1pm, students will have a secure foundation in the fundamentals of basketball as they participate in viewing and analyzing film, drills, weight training, conditioning, and academic work. Including academic work will help bridge the educational gap sometimes found during the summers.
The program will also introduce students to the basics of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), providing education on branding, opportunities, and responsibilities as student-athletes. Students will learn about healthy nutrition for athletes, including live meal demonstrations led by the Tucson Family Food Project.
